401% increase is stunning. As you&#039;d know, internet is a crazy place. You can have 200% increase in your blog revenue from ads if you get Dugg and come on the homepage. Also, Google could change their indexing technique and you could lose a lot of traffice (and hence revenue). 

My point is, that before quitting your day-job to start blogging full-time you need to have atleast 6-months of your existing salary set aside as liquid cash to support you just in case if you hit a bad patch. I&#039;d say this is important even if you make as much as your day-job. Better safe, than sorry. 

The answer to your question would be different for different people with different realities. But to answer your question, I&#039;d say that if I make 75% of the money with blogging, I&#039;d quit my job. I&#039;ve just started blogging this week and hence that&#039;d be an achievement.
