Are You Planning On Upgrading To Vista?

I’m starting to get a sense that most people are not going to be rushing down to the shops on the 30th to buy a copy of Vista. I don’t know why, but now that it’s nearly here the buzz that was generated after each successive release candidate seems to have gone away.

Are you planning on upgrading? I just feel that people have lost interest, or didn’t see enough in the betas to make them want to upgrade.

I’ll be upgrading at some point, but for me it’s a case of “it ain’t broke, so why fix it?”

I’ve not even looked in to “What’s New” in Vista.. I’ll be doing that right now :)

I’ll upgrade when I buy a new PC (in a year or so) and when they have fixed the main inevitable first load of bugs. Hopefully I’ll be able to get a PC with a beefier spec that will run the full Aero experience then for a good price.

Thats if I don’t switch to Mac before then !

I’ll be upgrading as I’m a glutton for punishment, and I actually like it when things aren’t working and I need to find a solution!

I’m glad my new laptop is coming next week, as at least I’ll have a backup machine if my desktop goes down (I’m going to update the motherboard at the same time).

Once my desktop is working, then I’ll send upgrade the laptop.

To be honest, I don’t really know what the new features are, apart from ‘Aero’ which I keep hearing about.

What I’m still trying to work out is whether I will need to install any 3rd party security apps? I even called Microsoft and the ‘expert’ I spoke to said probably not, but Microsoft weren’t sure yet!
