Enblogopedia who has just relaunched his theme (if you haven’t seen it yet , it’s very cool) has just been made an interesting sponsorship proposal for one of his old themes, which he released.  This is the message he received:

Hi there,

I found one of your free themes available for download at Wordpress. I am interested in possibly setting up a mutually beneficial relationship with you.

We would be interested in sponsoring one of these existing or new themes with you. In a nutshell, the blog would say on the footer , “designed by our website” and sponsored by “ our website”

In return , we can agree on a dollar amount which we can pay you through paypal.

How does this sound?

Please let me know if we can get something going.

One of the reasons I released my theme is Ajay told me that it’s a good way to get a significant number of inlinks from potentially thousands of sites linking to you.  This is why I think Enblogopedia has been approached.  A PR 6/7 site would charge about $300pm for a link, but this link could potentailly be on thousands of sites.
