Would Sky Really Remove Its Channels From ntl:Telewest?
I just read a story on Tech Digest that frankly stunned me. According to Media Digest, Sky is planning on removing it’s own channels (Sky One, Sky News, Sky Sports etc.) from its cable rival. If they did do this it would be a very bold move in the growing war between BSkyB and ntl:Telewest for domination in the UK.
Whenever I meet international companies they are stunned by the level of competition in the UK. I think this year is going to be a great year for consumers in the UK, with even faster broadband speeds on the horizon, and much lower prices appearing as the level of competition goes up through more companies offering triple play offerings and more BT exchanges being unbundled.
I can’t wait!
