Why Do People Find Vista’s User Account Control So Annoying?
I really think the anti-Microsoft brigade have convinced lots of people that Windows Vista’s Users Account Control is annoying. I was expecting that one of the first things I would be doing after setting up Vista would be looking up how to remove it, but I don’t find it a problem.
Yes, it has popped up a lot over the last 2 days, but that’s because I’ve been setting up a whole new PC.  Also, the number of alerts I’ve had are far fewer than I got on XP with the Zone Labs firewall running. I actually find them quite re-assuring as at least it tells me that Vista is on the ‘look-out’ for potential security problems.
If you are looking to remove it User Account Control and the popups, then Open up Control Panel, and go to User Accounts and select “Turn User Account Control on or off”.

I set up Vista yesterday and UAC annoyed me quite a lot. Although disabling it reduces security, a good antivirus takes care of it. I might learn to be OK with UAC, but I don’t see a purpose of it. On every install, setting change, whatever being asked over and over again is pretty stupid. Oh, and almost forgot - the rest of Vista is pretty cool!
