Are Google Blocking 3rd Party Translation Services?

I’ve just noticed that Google are blocking the Angsuman Translator plugin – I wonder if they are clamping down on 3rd party services that don’t pay to use their translation plugin?

Can anybody shed any light?

They are not blocking third party translation services and they are definitely not targeting Angsuman's Translator Pro :)
They will however prevent any site who is excessively using their bandwidth. They normally reset it after 24 hours or so. The way around it is simple. Simply set your wp-cache 2 plugin to 10 hours or more of caching time to reduce the load on their server. In the next version we are introducing enhancements for heavy users so these load balancing will be done automatically.
