Daily Blog Tips recently ran a poll on this where the results surprised me.

I nearly always tend to use this, as I think it is worth it even if only 10% of readers come back to my blog. Plus, over 50% of my readers use Firefox where it just opens in a new tab which I actually prefer personally.
