MBL Community: How To Create Fake Comment Forms To Trick Spam Bots
Today’s tip is a good one for all WordPress users who want to stop spam bots leaving spam on their blogs. OneTipADay has come up with a way of quickly adding fake comment forms in front of the real comment form that are only visible to spam bots. Because these spam bots usually only post spam to the first forms that they see, no spam will be actually left on the real WordPress comment forms. I’ve tried this out on this site and I fired off a few test comments and it definitely works.
There will be another post from MBL Community tomorrow. Because there are too many members for me to check all of your sites daily, I’ve set up a new thread in the forum for you to let me know when you’ve written a good post. Please only post something you think is good or that fellow readers will be interested in, otherwise I’ll just ignore all of your suggestions.

Contacted Akismet and relayed your message to them. Am sure they want to know as well as many Wordpress Akismet users. Will certainly relay there answer if they don’t personally respond to you. There blog is live, course I have no way of knowing wether the servers used for Akismet are, though it seems helpful that users would be notifed if they where down.

I have a real trouble with these spam boots on my drug site. They get there without any shame and fill the comment section up to the end. They are tricky for they adapt to my anti spam programs. Is there a very powerful one that can stop them?
