Recent Feedburner Increases - Don’t Count Your Chickens Just Yet
I’ve just been catching up on my feeds and it’s amazing the euphoria that swept the blogosphere over the weekend as many bloggers discovered their feedcounts had gone up by an average of 20-30% thanks to Google supplying Feedburner with the number of users who had subscribed to feeds.
However, don’t count your chickens just yet, as the reason these numbers are so high is because they are for the number of people who have subscribed to your feed, not the number who actually read your feed on a given day. Hence, they are probably inflated by at least 20-30%.

you are right. we (at feedburner) count pageviews, clicks and reach all of which were completely unaffected by the google subscription numbers. reach is a number we calculate that represents unique users who have clicked on or viewed your feed.
let me know if you have any questions, etc.
thanks…and, thanks for using feedburner!
