I tend to check my Alexa stats once a week or so as although they aren’t accurate some advertisers do use Alexa’s stats to track which sites to place adverts on, particularly the 3 month traffic rank average.
I noticed yesterday morning that Alexa have just added new data that shows your traffic rank per country, in addition to the overall rank. I found my stats very interesting, and I was stunned to see how big Connected Internet is in India:
Now I don’t know if this is genuine, or if Ajay and Thilak are the only bloggers in India, but either way I’d like to think that I could walk into a bar or club in India and somebody will have heard of me!
I also found it interesting to see that my UK number is so high. The only reason I can think of for this is that Google places me high in Google UK search results because of my .co.uk address. This has convinced me even more that this site would be even more successful if I owned www.connectedinternet.com, as I’m certain that Google would give me higher slots on Google.com if I had a .com address
