Do You Have What It Takes To Be A Problogger?
Recently I’ve been asking myself the question above everyday. Daniel has published 10 Requisites For Professional Bloggers that might give you an indication of whether you’ve got what it takes. (Update: It’s been submitted to Digg already!)
Over the last month or so I’ve started to see the benefits of spending a few hours everyday posting, trying to build a community and introducing myself to other bloggers by leaving comments on their blogs. It’s a big commitment and other things have had to suffer, but I’m keen to see what I can achieve if I can keep up my current level of activity for a few more months.
I’m stunned by how fast things are growing both in terms of traffic, subscribers, comments left and revenue. I think that I’ve been consistently breaking every target I set each month by at least 30%. Even my boss was shocked yesterday by how much my blog had changed over the last couple of months, even suggesting that maybe I didn’t need to work for him anymore!
I’m not quite there yet, but who knows what the rest of the year will hold in store for Connected Internet?

I’m happy that I’ve gotten myself into the top Technorati 2500, but I know that if I “went pro” I’d lose a lot of the mojo I get out of doing this as a hobby.
