March 24th Is Computer Shut-Down Day – Will You Be Taking Part?
On March 24th there will be a global experiment to see how many people can go without a computer for one whole day. At first I thought I wouldn’t be able to participate in Computer Shut Down Day do it as I need to use a computer at work, and even if I’m not blogging, I don’t think I could come home at night and not fire up my PC which truly is the hub of my home as it powers my music, TV and phone.
However after checking my calendar, I realised that March 24th is a Saturday so I think I will be able to manage one day without using my PC. Leave a comment if you’re going to join me.
What I would love to see (on the 25th of course!) is how quiet the blogosphere will go. For instance, as a non-American I was stunned by the lack of posts during the Superbowl. I was at least expecting a few posts from people saying where and how they were watching the game, but the web went virtually silent for a whole day!
