Is Someone Sending Me Personal Messages Via Adsense?

I just spotted the banner below on my site. Is someone trying to send me personal messages via Google Adsense, or is this some kind of clever Google Adsense campaign that works out who the author is?

It only seems to display when I visit the page so I think somehow it’s targeted to me!

Update: It’s being displayed to all users.

Everton

Whoever placed the ad is wasting their money though as I never click my own ads as I don’t want to risk getting banned by Adsense.

Well, if you don’t need the money generated through this ad i`ll be happy accepting it ;)

Good luck..and as the guys said before..this is only means that you`re reaching a great level in the blogosphere!

yes, but Google will still serve ads it thinks will do better first - they’re a smart bunch over there ;-)

Plus, 80% of my clicks comes from the unit in the top left which also loads first so it gets the best ads. If whoever has purchased this campaign had paid a decent amount their ad would be showing there.

    Hmmmmm, how you can tell?
Can’t he just choose to put his ad in the unit?!
for example…click on the “Advertise in the site” link for specific ad will give you a choice to put an ad especially here?!

lol, I`m telling you, with more than 200K page view per month…there`ll be some who will buy it!

I don’t think so. It’s only being displayed when Google can’t find a better priced ad to show i.e. in slots that no-one is looking at except me.

New and innovative?? More a waste of money…

People are likely to click the ad because it’s related to this site - but who’d buy the eBook??
