iTunes 7.1 Released But Still Has Vista Errors

I was just about to go to bed when I saw that Apple had released iTunes 7.1 that fixes some of the compatibility problems with Windows Vista.
Cover flow is now full screen. I’d forgotten how cool this was as I couldn’t use it on my Vista machine as the speed was horrendous. Unfortunately it messes up totally if you have more than one monitor, with the display on any additional monitors blanking out:
I’m running the latest Catalyst drivers for my X1900XTX so the fault definitely lies with Apple and iTunes 7.1.
At least Apple have fixed the speed issue and I also think the iPod issues have also been fixed, but I haven’t tested this with my iPod yet as I’m waiting for confirmation first.
However, when iTunes 7.1 ran for the first time it displayed the dreaded ‘Updating iTunes library’ screen which now scares the life out of me, after it renamed or moved around 1000 of my tracks last time around, which I still haven’t found the time to fix.
Apple are almost there on providing Vista support, but not quite so I’m going to carry on using Windows Media Player to manage my iPod.
