MBL Community: Be An Online Football Manager With Hattrick
Everton | Mar 12, 2007 | Comments
Today’s MBL Community post comes from Zath, who I’ve only just realised is one of the many users of my theme ;-)
Zath has been a player of Hattrick, a simplified, webpage-based version of Football Manager 2007 for nearly two years. He’s even setup a Zath Hattrick League and games are played on Tuesdays. When you sign-up you get assigned a team in one of the lowest leagues and you can then buy/sell players, assign tactics and training. it if you like.
I’m tempted to join as I love football management games. I got hooked when I was about 10 or 11 when my big brother wrote his own football management game. This was back in the 80s when people used to write their own games (in machine code if they were any good) and used to buy magazines which include games you could type into your machine and play.
My brother’s game (he made a brilliant pacman game as well) was actually quite good, but I remember there were a few bugs in the transfer market algorithms! It’s funny remembering how technical he was back then, whereas 20 years later he only uses a computer when he has to, apart from still spending far too much time playing championship manager.
There will be another post from MBL Community tomorrow. Because there are too many members for me to check all of your sites daily, I’ve set up a new thread in the forum for you to let me know when you’ve written a good post. Please only post something you think is good or that fellow readers will be interested in, otherwise I’ll just ignore all of your suggestions.
If you haven’t joined my community yet, then click here. Don’t forget, if you join my community I’ll join yours. If you’re interested in exchanging communities with other MBL users then add your community here.
