I’ve joined too, and did some review on it on my blog.

Hmmm I didn’t even read the instructions - I didn’t realise that you bid for the reviews. I don’t like the look of this scheme as I’m not comfortable with the advertisers telling me what keywords I have to use, giving content they want me to use and also saying where thwy want links pointing to.
I much prefer ReviewMe where I can write and do whatever I want.

Hmmm…. I hadn’t heard of it yet. Thanks for the heads up Everton.
But gotta say that after checking out Hongkiat’s review I think I’ll stay with ReviewMe.
We only signed up with ReviewMe a few weeks ago but haven’t gotten any review requests yet. I expect this is because our blog is very niche focused and the reviewme concept is still a little new in non blog/marketing niches. Also we’re not promoting this on our site yet at all, which is definitely something we plan on doing. But for now advertisers would only know about this option if they happen to be on the ReviewMe site.
We’re planning to add a new (and prominent) “Advertise” tab at the top and we’ll include the ReviewME, Text-Link-Ads, AdVolcano, and custom opportunities there.
I think ReviewMe (and related services) are definitely a great way for bloggers to bring in extra revenue. As long as they keep it real and do a REAL review regardless of whether they’re getting paid or not, then it’s nothing more than a “story idea”, which is great. Otherwise they’ll stand to lose credibility with their regulars - not a good thing.
Cool concept indeed though.
Have an awesome day!
Dan
