Twitter sounds like one of those services that I really need to avoid. If you haven’t come across Twitter yet, it’s:
‘A global community of friends and strangers answering one simple question: What are you doing? Answer on your phone, IM, or right here on the web!’
It’s been getting a lot of hype over the last month or so, but I’m struggling to see why and it just sounds like another potential mammoth waste of time to me. I’m struggling to see what’s the value of letting the whole world know what I’m doing right now. I can almost see a potential application at work, but then anyone can check my calendar to see if I’m available.
Am I totally missing the point? If you’re a Twitter user, why do you love the service?
