BlogBurst And Other Blog Networks

I’ve just been accepted into my first Blog network, BlogBurst.  Pluck’s BlogBurst network is an opt-in aggregation and syndication service that is designed to bring high-quality, topical blogs together with high-traffic web sites.

I like the sound of BlogBurst as I don’t have to do anything now that I’ve added my profile, and there’s a good chance that my content will start featuring on other sites thanks to the promotional efforts of the Pluck team, who promote your blog in their publisher workbench.  The BlogBurst editorial staff also identifies and pre-packages preferred blogs and posts in prepared channels called BurstWires for popular topics.

I’ll let you know how I get on and whether I see any new traffic as a result.

Are there any other blog networks that you recommend I join?

  • We also joined BuzzBums not long ago and we do get some traffic from it. Also some good keyword-goodness links from that as a PR4 site. BuzzBums syndicates your blog's content (the post titles and teasers) onto its homepage and on the category page where your blog fits in - kinda like 9rules. Check it out:

I'd love to see what other networks you guys recommend - extra exposure is a great thing for all of us.

  • Hey Everton,

Congrats, that's very cool. I think BlogBurst is perhaps one of the most important networks to get into since big media is just starting to look at blogs as having "potential for decent content" and they're turning to folks like BlogBurst to weed out and find the "few good blogs".

Their approval process can be a bit stringent for many, but I guess that's the point.

We just got into BlogBurst ourselves in the last couple of weeks and our articles are already getting featured in the iVillage Love & Sex area - a very good thing.

Getting syndicated in these places means more direct traffic, but more importantly, you get exposure in front of a very different audience. AND you get exposure to the editors of major media outlets. Again, a very good thing. :-)

    Have an awesome day!
