What Do You Think Of The New Vizu Poll Formats?
Those of you using Vizu Polls may have noticed that the design of the polls have changed recently. With the old format site owners could format the Vizu Poll to blend in with their site, whereas now the polls have a new bolder look.
I’m not a big fan of the new look as I liked the fact that even though the old polls were being created externally, they looked like my content. I fired off an email to Vizu to find ask why they’d changed the format, and I’ve copied their response below:
We are sorry that the shaded background of our new polls does not match you site in the same way that our previous ones did. The re-design and update was done as a way for us to improve the response rate of our polls. Increasing the response rate of our polls will be a benefit to our Publishers because we will be able to raise the CPM rates which we charge to Clients.Another note on our new polls - they take up about 20% less vertical space vs. our earlier version.
Regards,
The Vizu Team
I can understand why Vizu would want to make this change, but I think they’ve gone too far and lost one of the features that made their polls so popular. What do you think? Would you prefer to get a lower CPM in return for polls that matched your site and content better? A simple solution would be to let bloggers choose e.g. if you want to increase your potential earnings then let Vizu decide the format.

I heard that Vizu has extremely low CPM, Is it true?
Comment by Everton on 14 March 2007:
you can control the min CPM so it’s hard to say. I’ve set my min at $1.50 which is better than most of my other CPM ads, but the fill rate is only about 30-50%.
I think some other people have set higher mins, but as a result they’ve got lower fill rates.

Hello,
Does anyone know how - and if it is at all possible - to track where Vizu polls are being displayed? We are running polls via them but can’t find our polls anywhere on the net. Thanks a lot in advance.
