Multiple Technorati Links From One Site?

John Chow has just written a post about how readers whose sites are linked to from his site, have suddenly gained hundreds of additional Technorati links because Technorati is treating 500 of his pages as individual blogs rather than the whole site as a blog.

Has anyone come across this phenomenon elsewhere? Has it happened to you from this site (all the more reason to leave more comments to get in my top commentators list!) or any other site?

My Technorati rank has reached 1,254 an increase of about 16,000 in the last month, thanks mainlyto releaseing my TypoXP Reloaded theme. My target is to get under 1,000 by the end of the month.

    Wow, 1254 - congrats Everton, very cool indeed.

    It’s not yet at 1254 :-), but I’ve seen our Technorati rank go up steadily as of late as well - just made our way to 48,281 (136 links from 81 blogs) - and getting stronger every day. I’m certainly not complaining!

    I HAVE noticed that getting more links from different pages on the same blogs raises your rank - but none of the “hundreds of additional links from different pages being considered separate blogs”? Maybe this has something to do with the weird Technorati voodoo he was playing with some weeks back that shot his technorati rank WAY up in a day and got him Technorati-banned for a day…

    It isn’t the same, it’s “6 thing weird about you” this time. But still, just another boring tagging game. I choose to tag you guys to see how you people response to these kind of game.
