Playstation 3 Launch Sales Break Records In UK
It looks like we’ve got a real battle on our hands in the UK to be the number one games console. The PlayStation 3 console has broken UK sales records with more than 165,000 machines sold in the first two days of release. This compares to 71,000 for the Xbox 360, and 105,000 for the Nintendo Wii.
I think what has really aided the PS3’s launch is that they ensured that there was enough stock to go around. It was even possible to just walk into a shop at the weekend and pick one up.
I have to say that my PS3 has surprised me. I’ve spent a few hours playing Resistance: Fall Of Man, and even though it’s pretty tough I’m already hooked. That’s more than I can say for Gears Of War, where I got bored after 5 mins.

wow.
that might be very pleasing for sony , specially for sony uk.
The ps3 is almost half price in the US.
in my opinion i would not buy it from the UK i would rather travel to US to get the PS3 cheaper.

It won’t be long till the PS3 totally overwhelms the Xbox360. Did you hear of the thousands of Xboxes going bonkers due to some failure? Good thing Microsoft is moving fast to fix the problem
