Automatic HDMI Switch for $170

IOGEAR

IOGear have launched an automatic HDMI switch for £170 in the US. Mikael thinks this is expensive, but I don’t think it’s too bad given that a standard switch costs twice that in the UK. This could be the answer to my current problem where I only have one HDMI input on my receiver, but two HDMI devices (PS3 and Telewest TVDrive).

According to IOGEAR’s press release, the HDMI 2×1 Automatic Switch (HDAS) is the only product on the market that senses which HDMI product is currently in use, and it instantly locks and transfers the appropriate audio and video content to the connected HD display.
