Staska.net have compiled a list of the Top 30 WordPress plugins based upon lists published by other bloggers. I’m only using 8 of the top 30 which I think is surprisingly low, and I was surprised to see that Spam Karma 2 and Comment Quicktags were missing.

- WP-Contact Form
- Wordpress database backup
- Feedburner Feed Replacement
- Ultimate Tag Warrior
- Subscribe to comments

- No ping wait
- PodPress
- SRG Clean Archives

omg, thanks a lot ^^.
I suppose that Spam Karma 2 was replaced by Akismet.
The list is pretty extensive, not much to add to it. Though I do run a couple of custom plugins that help with certain tasks, or are effectively a part of the layout.
I think I only have about 6 or 7 on that list. Maybe I should take a look at the others.
Great List. Got hold of some from your list. Thanks for the list – it definitely helped me and guessed has helped others too.
@Tony, SK2 wasn’t replaced by anything.. it’s just that Akismet is marketted better. Loyal users like me won’t give up SK2 for Akismet ever.
Instead Akismet is just one of my checks that SK2 runs…
Great post, bookmarking it for future!
What about All in One SEO Pack? Isn’t it good?
Sociable’s great for bookmarking purposes, but I like the featureset of BookMark Me
