The Daddy Of The Macs
Less than 8 months after releasing Macintosh Workstation, the Mac Pro, Apple Inc has further raised the bar and added a new member to the Mac Pro family, the world’s first 3.0GHz, 8-core Intel Xeon-based Mac Pro.
Remember, the Mac Pro is still available in a quad-core, which can be run at 2.0GHz, 2.66GHz, or 3.0GHz (at 3.0GHz, the quad-core Mac Pro runs up to 2x faster than the good old trusty Power Mac G5 Quad). But, two Quad-Core Intel Xeon processors running at 3.0GHz is better than one Quad-Core Intel Xeon processor running at 3.0GHz so, I, myself, would suggest the 8-core over the quad-core.
And if you’re looking to spice up the Mac Pro, Apple has over 33 million configurations to meet your needs so, you can truly build and order the workstation that you’ve always dreamed of. And, besides graphics cards that let you connect up to two displays at one time and the recent 3.0GHz, 8-core upgrade, perhaps, the best news about the Daddy of the Macs, the Mac Pro, is that the prices of the HD Cinema displays have been reduced. Now, the only question that needs answering is, “how would you like to pay for that?â€
