Pyro.tv - A Slightly Different Approach To Online Video
I got an email yesterday from Pyro.tv a new online Video service from Vibe Solutions who are best known for their video-calling service. The idea behind Pyro.tv is that users can watch their favorite video channels, whilst browsing through updates for other channels.
I like how this feature works as one of the annoying features of YouTube is you can’t browse the site whilst watching a video at the same time very well. If you browse to a new page on YouTube then the currently playing video will stop.
The layout of Pyro.tv is also very clean as well. When I compared Pyro.TV’s layout to YouTube’s I was amazed when I realised how much space was wasted on YouTube, although I think a lot of this space is where YouTube will feature Google adverts.
Pyro.TV includes all the usual features of online video services, but I think the ability to easily set up personalised channels and multi-video channel, could set Pyro.TV apart from the competition. There’s no need to know acronyms or download software - all you have to do is just select your favorite TV and video channels. Users can choose from user-created content or featured channels including abc, USA Today and the BBC to name a few.
The site is definitely worth a visit and also because Pyro.TV are giving away a free iPod each week for to beta users.

Dear Connected Internet, i am SiBorg. I was under the belief that this was a web site for blogging? Or at least that is what you have advertised yourself as. After submitting credible work to you blogging site i find you defaming that work as spam? Is there a reason why political analysis is being fobbed off and myself being accused of being a spammer? If this is not a website for bloggers i would suggest that you stop adverting yourself as such, and remove my name as a spammer from the search engine immediately. If you had taken the time to read what was in from of you you would realise that it is works of journalism you are now defaming online. Any explanation for this liable will be welcomed.
I await your reply.

Hi SiBorg
I’m sorry to say I have no idea what you are referring to. Your comments have probably been automatically rejected by my spam filters for some strange reason. In fact, the comment you just left was in my spam folder which luckily I saw and recovered.
The spam filter learns from my actions, and now that I manually recovered your comment, it is unlikely that your comments will be marked as spam again.
If they do, could you please contact me directly in the forum rather than leaving a comment on a random post.

I first tried to Pyro to keep myself up on news happening around the world. It was easy because all I had to do was surf around an find the content I wanted and then put it into my profile. Now all I do is log on, and my channels are right there. Whatever channel I put first automatically plays for me when I log on. I don’t have time to sit and watch the news at night (being a mother of three), but on Pyro I get all of the highlights I need. I am also thinking about making a channel about my daughters, so that my family in Indiana can watch them week by week. Kudos, Pyro! You have my vote!

So i was lead to this site from a lead i got on myspace. Will pyro tv be up and running soon so that I can embed it into my site like Youtube? Any ideas on a timeline for that type of service?

Hey guys–I really like the idea of video and video channels online. I especially liked the way Pyro tv is set up. There are quite a few channel services online, but Pyro is packaged nicely. I have been creating my own channel for music purposes and it is getting me alot of feedback. I promote it as much as I can, and I can see how many hits I am getting. I love the amount of music channels they have to offer-not just videos, but actual channels. This is a great website!
