What New Features Does Skype 2.6 Beta Have For The Mac?

Less than 5 months after releasing their 2.5 version for the Mac, Skype has just announced that Mac users can now begin to download Skype 2.6 Beta. With additional touches of quality and compatibility, Skype 2.6 Beta is not yet as sophisticated as the 3.2 Beta version for Windows, or is it?
Lagging close behind Skype 3.2 Beta for Windows, Skype 2.6 Beta for Macs has added a transfer option which will allow Mac users the ability to transfer a call to another Skype user by clicking “More” in the call window and selecting which Skype contact to forward the call to. Some additional features of Skype 2.6 Beta for the Mac would include improved audio quality, Public Chats, an indicator when users are writing messages, Pay with Skype Credit when making a Skype Prime premium call and DTMF tones during Skype to Skype calls.
Again, Skype 2.6 Beta for the Mac is not quite like Skype 3.2 Beta for Windows so Mac users will not be able to send money via Paypal, take video snapshots or import contacts from more sources yet, but, some day soon, Skype for the Mac will be just as good, if not better than Skype for Windows (I hope so, at least). Have you downloaded Skype 2.6 Beta for the Mac yet? If not, you can download it now here.
Mac System requirements for Skype 2.6 Beta
