Increasing Alexa Rank Joint Experiment: Week 2 Update

The Increasing Alexa Rank Joint Experiment is definitely without a doubt working. At the start of the experiment my 3 month Average Alexa Rank was 26,070. Two weeks later it has fallen to 23,161.

Although this may not seem impressive, remember it is a 3 month average and the daily numbers tell a bigger story where my one week average has fallen to 12,358. I’m now targeting a sub 10,000 rank by hopefully getting more readers to participate.

Many advertising services like Text-Link Ads and ReviewMe, as well as potential advertisers use these stats to gauge the value of advertising on a site, so trying to increase your Alexa Rank can be important.

  • Hi.. I think the alexa redirect script is not working.. it gives me a 404 error.


    Have you checked the same?

    And yeah.. I was able to bring my alexa rank down to 90K (from 190K) with juz the redirect scripts and stuffs like that.. but now something is broken.! :(



    could u please check and mail?
  • Had implemented the redirect script, but this does not seem to be helping. We I guess I need more hits on the page where the redirects have been placed

    Yeah, man, I read the post on DoshDosh about a week or two ago and implemented the Alexa widget, the redirects and set my home page to ScottPot. At first, my Alexa went up a few thousand but, when I opened my browser this morning, I noticed that it had finally gone down a couple thousand and is sitting nicely at 142,004 (not as nice as your 23,161 but, hey, it's a start, you know). I never used to watch my Alexa but, now, I look every time I have my page up! Hopefully it keeps dropping.
