While nobody else could take it for another month or more still, the only way for her to get it back for sure involved a $80 fee to GoDaddy. Have an awesome day! Quite a fundemental task but overlooked in so many websites i'd expect. A friend lost a premium domain because he went to australia for 8weeks during the renewal period and made sure he wasn't going to logon for his holiday came back to find it had been snapped up.
