List Of Search Engine Ranking Factors
In what must be one of the most useful posts of the year for any aspiring blogger, Carsten from Search Engine Journal has pulled together a simplified version of the monster Search Engine Ranking Factors document, which contained the opinions of 37 SEO experts. I’ve pasted the full table below.
I’d really like to get a discussion going with my own readers as to whether we agree with the top 27 factors, and what a blogger can actually do to influence external factors like getting other bloggers to link to their posts using the right anchor text. For instance, ever since I saw how important using the right anchor text was whenever I’ve linked out to a site, I’ve tried to use the best anchor text possible to try and help the site I’m linking to.
It was also interesting to see that there wasn’t a consensus on whether selling links is a good or bad move for a site.
