WordPress Theme Generator

I’ve just discovered the WordPress Theme Generator for the first time, that lets WordPress users ‘quickly’ create a theme without requiring any HTML, JS, PHP, or CSS knowledge. Based on the WordPress 2.1 with Yahoo! UI (Grids,Tabs & Fonts) to support all A-Grade browsers and Widgets.

I really hope that WordPress incorporate something like this into the default WordPress build in a future release. Don’t get me wrong, I think WordPress is a great product, but I find it disappointing that its power isn’t available in a simple way to the masses. I’ve been on the lookout for a good blogging platform to offer to my ISP users for quite a while now, and although I think WordPress is the best blogging service out there, I just don’t think it will be suitable.

Hopefully, WordPress.com will continue to improve to the point where it contains more of the features from the hosted WordPress solution.

    Cool generator but I was hoping it could let me build a three column with the two sidebars on the right hand side.
