Nicessss! Yeah, I'd have to let you do the operating, I don't think I could change the hard disk on my own. Sounds awesome, regardless and, I agree, I do not think that I could find the time to watch all that TV myself. Every time I break from the computer, I find myself still thinking about the computer. I hate it but I love it! Thanks for dropping in again, Zath, I am in the process of making time for some more ConnectedInternet posts. See you around.

I think the largest that Sky+ is sold as is an 80gb, but you can replace the hard disk like I did with a drive up to 250gb by opening up the box and "operating" on it!

But like so many things these days, the main problem is finding the time to actually catch up with them and in this case view all the tv programming that has been recorded.

Look forward to reading more of your posts!

Hey, Zath, glad you came back to my post on Connected Internet and offered more feedback. I really appreciate it (and I am sure EB really appreciates it, too). And, I am with you, I would rather watch my TV in the privacy of my own home, on a BIG screen than on the Nokia N77 2.4" screen. But, that isn't to say that I wouldn't take advantage of my new Nokia N77 (if I can get one) and watch some tube while riding in the cab, on the bus, during a flight, etc. Sure, it's small but, hey, that could come in handy BIG time. But, like I said previously, I tend to be on the computer more nowadays and don't really spend too much time viewing the television (besides when my girlfriend is in town and we watch movies, of course).

And, that Sky+ sounds awesome! Over 100 hours of tv stored? Wow? That's more TV than I've watched in the past year, I think. I've used Tivo before but this Sky+ seems to have surpassed Tivo and taken storage capacity to the ultimate limit. Is 250 gb the biggest hard disk available with Sky+? Regardless, 250 gb is huge and I don't imagine ever being able to use all that space much less watch it :) .

Thanks again for your support, Zath, it is really inspiring to have people to talk with regarding your posts (honestly, I think I've learned more after my post with you than I did while I was researching my post). Take care, Zath, I hope to see you around.

I'm sure that it will sell well and there's plenty of people out there who will want to watch.

I tend to watch shows such as 24, Lost, Heroes etc, however when I'm going to watch them, I'd much rather watch them on my big screen tv while lazing on my sofa instead of on a small screen of a mobile phone.

Sky+ is very handy, I upgraded the hard disk to 250gb so it now stores over 100 hours of tv - which means I always have a huge backlog of stuff to watch, sometimes i delete stuff without even getting round to watching them due to lack of time.

Good post by the way, lots to think about from it!

Hey, Zath, thanks for the reply! I couldn't agree with you more, Zath; besides the occasional Aqua Teen Hunger Force (right after Family Guy) that I catch on Adult Swim just before turning in on some evenings, I really don't watch too much TV, myself. But, there are a lot of individuals less Connected to the Internet than you and me that view TV like we view the pc (or the Mac). I know the BIG Planet Earth, 24, Entourage, Sopranos, House and even American Idol fans would love to watch their favorite shows from the comfort of their Nokia N77, while on the go. With a blunt, and to the point post like mine, I may not get a commission from Nokia for sales of the N77 but, I still hope you'll love it and I hope you'll enjoy the writing that I do for EB and his Connected Internet Team (and on ScottPot and Wallhogs, too : ) )

Thanks again for your support and feedback, Zath, I really appreciate it. See you around!

p.s. I hear that Sky+ is pretty sweet, how do you like it?

I'm sure the appeal of watching live tv is attractive to some people, but I'm finding I watch less and less live tv these days, be it due to my Sky+ or watching stuff on my pc, so for me the option of having on my mobile isn't a big seller.

I can just put some videos on my storage card of things that I know I'll want to watch if I need to put some time in waiting around etc.

I suppose you could use it to catch up with news and such, but for me certainly the usage would be rather limited.
