Test Your Broadband Speed For Free

I get a lot of visitors visiting my site looking for a BroadBand Speed test, so I’ve decided to add a Broadband Speed Test to the site.

You can use the test to check that you are getting what you are paying for, or whether you should start looking for a new Broadband ISP or maybe a new computer.

How It Works

Start the test by clicking the big button in the center of the page. The test first starts by downloading a file and measures how long it takes. After the download is finished the speed checker tries to upload a file and measures your upload speed.

If you want to get accurate results then you should not use your internet connection for any other applications once the speed checker is running, and run the test a few times so that an average speed can be calculated.

The broadband speed is measured in Kbps (kilobits per second). Approximately 1000 Kbps is 1Mb/s.

So how were your Broadband Speed Test Results? Don’t forget to leave a comment below to share your results so that other readers can see which ISPs are good and which aren’t.

If you are a UK based broadband consumer, you can find who offers a Fast Broadband Access at reasonable price, depending on where you live. You may even find a Free Broadband Service if you are willing to sign up with other services like telephone or cable TV in addition to the broadband connection.
