The release of Halo 3 is going to be the gaming event of the year. I can quite easily see myself taking a day off work to play it. The problem is, which day do I need to book? Ryan over at CybernetNews has compiled a list of the release dates given by retailers and there’s quite a big spread, ranging from July 4th (very corny if true) to November 15th.
Whatever the date, Halo 3 will probably be the best selling game of the year and will set the Xbox 360 up nicely for the key Christmas market. According to Ryan, over 4 million pre-orders have been placed, which is the same number of copies of Gears of War, the best-selling Xbox 360 title, has sold in total.
