Blog Valuation Calculator – How Much Is Your Blog Worth?
Everton | May 15, 2007 | Comments
Gili who has joined the Connected Internet team to be the resident Web 2.0 expert, has created a nifty Blog Valuation Calculator, that once supplied with some basic information about your site, will place a value on your blog.
The tool is buit using Web 2.0 app Zoho Sheets, which looks quite nice, but unfortunately I couldn’t find an auditing tool to see what formulas Gili had used in his Blog Valuation Calculator. Nevertheless, from what I could see, Gili’s tool produced the most realistic value I have seen for Connected Internet of $300K. Not quite a million dollars, but still a very large amount.
I wish I could tell my bank manager that I have a $300K asset, but I don’t think he would believe me. The problem with putting a price on an asset is that there needs to be a market. I’m not also not sure how valuable this domain would be without my input, as I’m sure all my loyal readers would stop reading the site if I stopped writing!
Still, having tools like this could prove useful if I do receive another other to sell this blog.
