SharedReviews.com Now Live – Get Paid To Review Products
Everton | May 16, 2007 | Comments 4
I just checked my inbox and there’s an email from Peter Ejtel the CEO of SharedReviews.com, to say that the service is now live.
SharedReviews.com allows contributers to submit reviews directly to the site, through APIs and plugins for many popular blogging platforms. These reviews are then monetised via SharedReviews.com through both advertising as well as content licensees looking to leverage the content within their own advertising networks. Any income that is generated is then split 50/50 with the community each month, with the author of the review getting 50% of this income and the community who voted on that review the rest.
I think this could be an interesting revenue stream for bloggers that review a lot of products, because of the automatic uploading that can be put in place i.e. you could write your reviews as you normally do, and if they are well received by the SharedReviews.com community you could improve the monetisation of your existing posts. I guess the service is like a cross between Epinions and Facebook.
As part of the beta launch, SharedReviews.com have made a pot of $10,000 dollars available. For every 5 approved reviews each user will receive $10, up to a maximum of $100 per person. This will allow SharedReviews.com to get enough reviews within the system to check that the advertising and content distribution models are working.

Thanks for the heads up. I managed to get my first name Christopher, which is great! it looks very interesting but i’m still a bit confused by most of it heh.
I signed up yesterday. I am looking forward to the beta launch.
I have to echo those comments, but from what I’m getting from it, it does look like it has a lot of possibility.
I may sign up for something like this. I just haven’t decided if paid reviews is a revenue stream that I want to target on my blog. Seems like you’d end up with a bunch of random posts on random topics.
