Fix For quicktags.js Problems With WordPress 2.2
Everton | May 24, 2007 | View Comments
One of the problems I had when I upgraded to WordPress 2.2 was that my comments quicktags caused problems and pushed my sidebar down under the main content, so I had to disable the plugin.
Luckily Ibrahim came to the rescue and his fix worked first time. Ibrahim had the same problem and he fixed it by making changes to the quicktags.js file, and creating a new file quicktags1.js and placing it in the /wp-includes/js folder, and also replacing the Comment Quicktags plugin with the modified version in the attached zip.
Now, we’re not sure if this fix will help with other WordPress 2.2 errors, but the good thing is we haven’t touched the original quicktags.js file, so it will be easy to roll changes back.
