Amazing Slow Motion Video

I know that filming a balloon filled with water may not sound interesting, but when the camera you are using has the potential to make one second last 15 minutes (sounds like another great post title for Dan and Jen ;-)) then it’s definitely worth watching.

Watch the aftermath of this balloon being popped 80x slower. It’s surprisingly beautiful to watch. I’d love to see the rest of the show that the clip is taken from.

Update:  Friday challenge for everyone – try and find the show that this clip is from

  1. Everton, we really cracked up with that one!

As Jennifer said when she saw this, “If we could put that in a bottle, boy, we’d have it made”. :-)

    Have an awesome day!

You would get millions of thank you letters every morning I’d bet ;-) I’m glad you spotted the link. I wanted to check that you guys were still alive – only 3 comments this week!

What I found amazing about the video was that even running ultra-slow, you couldn’t actually see the various stages of the balloon exploding. Amazing forces in play there.

I started trying to apply my dwindling Physics skills to try and make sense of the whole video, but I gave up after 20 seconds as my head started to hurt.

  5. We’re here my friend, just been very busy. As of this week we got Netvibes configured with our favorite blogs, so we’re keeping a close watch every day. :-)

Though I do enjoy visiting your site proper on a regular basis.

I’m in the process of taking the shiny bubble wrap off our brand spankin’ new blog about Power Blogging – it’s going to chronicle all our discoveries, what has worked for us (and what hasn’t), all our crazy experiments we’re always running, etc.

    It’s called Blog Success Journal – http://www.BlogSuccessJournal.com

It’s VERY rough for now, but got a theme we like installed (then moved the nav to the left which broke it in IE), and started a few placeholder posts. Been planning this for a while, so it’s pretty exciting.

We’re also starting another blog about personal growth, spirituality, healing, and related topic (stuff that’s very important in our lives), but that’s scheduled to go live in a month or two.

    Have an awesome day!
    Dan
