T-Mobile Wing: Take The Strength Of Your Desktop With You
T-Mobile has recently released their new smartphone, the T-Mobile Wing, which will be replacing their 2006 MDA model.
The T-Mobile Wing is the first ever Windows Mobile 6 Professional device to step foot in the U.S. and, so far, reviews from individuals who have managed to get their hands on them have been quite reassuring and positive in tone.
The only real negative feedback that I was able gather thus far is that the Wing will still be using EDGE for data since it is not yet on the 3G network. Now, some mobile users may choose to settle with the AT&T 8525 (once known as the Cingular 8525) because it does feature the 3G network and it does have a similar design but, honestly, I don’t think I’ll care that much about EDGE download speed with Microsoft’s newest mobile operating system, Windows Mobile 6, running on my new, T-Mobile Wing.
After an instant discount and a mail-in rebate, this new, blue smartphone will cost you $299.99 and, weighing in at 6 ounces, the T-Mobile Wing is not quite a half of a pound but it still might feel a bit hefty lodged in those pockets and even grasped in those hands during those long calls to the misses (but, that’s what Bluetooth headsets are for, right?). And, yes, the Wing is Bluetooth capable, it does have a 2.0 mega pixel camera and it does have WiFi enabled.
From the image above, you can see that the Wing does have a sleek, slide design with a QWERTY Keypad. It also has the soft touch, rubbery feel similar to that of the T-Mobile Dash. I don’t know about you but, I am liking the sound (and look) of this T-Mobile Wing. But, don’t take it from me, take it from Bonnie Cha as she reviews the T-Mobile Wing in the video below.
Now, if only my cellular carrier, Verizon Wireless, would come out with a phone featuring Wing like capabilities, then I would be perfectly content. What about you? What do you think? Regardless, stay tuned, my friends, you won’t want to miss my next post regarding mobile devices, especially if you currently have one and you love to use it!

I tried a smartphone out a few months ago, and they were still not compatible with regular browsing… that is what I am waiting for on these devices. I may go in and try the Wing to see if it meets my needs.

I’m very happy with the browsing on my N95. Maybe you are setting your expectations too high Mark - you are never going to get a PC like experience on a 2-3 inch screen

Great point, EB, we get so used to the speeds and abilities of our laptops/desktops that we forget just how convenient a mobile device truly is and how awesome it is to surf the web from our phones, on the go, from anywhere.
Regardless, Mark, let us know what you think of the Wing if you try it out. Again, it will still be running on EDGE speed for now but I would imagine that upgrades will be in the midst shortly.

Thanks, Lostminer, not sure we’re looking for those type of links here but we appreciate you dropping in and taking the time to leave a reply. Remember, Lostminer, like the lady says in “Don’t Tell Mom The Babysitter’s Dead”, TV rots the brain!

Lostminer was spamming Scott-basically adding the same crap as a comment to all of my mobile related posts
