Allow me to start out by introducing myself. My name is Dennis Bjørn Petersen and I’m Danish. When I am not writing here. I run my own blog TheBetaNews which features the latest news and reviews about Web 2.0 related applications, usually the ones that are still in beta test.

Now enough talking let me show you 10 things you want to know about Rockstar’s anticipated, scrutinized and hyped video game Grand Theft Auto IV:

1. You are playing a Russian named Niko Bellic (though that sounds more Croatian to me), who moves to Liverty City at the request of his cousin, Roman, who happens to be driving a cab (Go figure).
2. Don’t expect the stereotypical from Rags to Riches, but from Rags to slightly better Rags. Get ready for a grittier and violent tale.
3. Liberty City is based on New York, except there are no Staten Island. Dukes is based on Queens, Broker on Brooklyn and so forth. Liberty City is around the same size as San Andreas, some rumours say it takes an hour to drive from one end to the other.
4. The weather now influences your driving skills.
5. It features vertically - a buzz word for the new video games, which means height. You can climb up a pole or a ladder and get a better overlook.
6. Use the heights to escape the police - jack a helicopter to escape. Since you are an illegal immigrant, getting arrested can have far greater consequences than earlier GTA games.
7. Four new camera angles,including an in car angle view.
8. Break windows to steal parked cars.
9. Call people on your cell phone thereby offering you more control over the GTA IV’s story. Day and night might have some influence too. There will be lesser traffic at night.
10. Release date: October 16 2007 on Xbox360 and PS3
