DonorsChoose & BlogCatalog Community Fundraising Event Starts Today

The DonorsChoose & BlogCatalog Community fundraising event begins today.

The event will run through the whole week and a goal of $25K has been set. To participate, is easy!

Bloggers are asked to write about the event, informing others of the event and encouraging individuals to make donations (more information about this particular event can be found here). The donations raised will go towards the public schooling systems, supplying teachers and students with some of the necessities required for the proper and sufficient education of our youth generations.

DonorsChoose.org is a not-for-profit organization that invites teachers to submit projects, requesting materials and supplies for their students. DonorsChoose has already raised $12,713,018 for 568,670 students as of today, May 28, 2007 and their mission seems to have no end.

Public schools need help and can not survive without support and assistance. Let’s unite and help to improve the quality of education that our younger generations are receiving. If you are interested in helping, in whatever way you feel that you can, please do join in on the cause and help. Let’s unite and join hands together, improving the quality of education and the overall quality of life for us all.
