Poll: What Do You Use To Make Your Phonecalls?
Now that I’ve ditched Vizu Polls, I can now create my own polls again and here’s the first.
Much has been written about fixed-2-mobile substitution, but I’m interested to see if any of my readers have started to move their minutes over to VoIP yet.
So, What Do You Use To Make Your Phonecalls? Mobile, Landline or VoIP?
If the answer is VoIP, which service do you use?
I very rarely use a landline. Even if I’m at my desk at work I tend to use my mobile as I have all my numbers stored in the address book so dialling is quicker. I also never give out my landline number anymore either at work or at home. In fact, I’ve only just memorised what my home landline number (VoIP) and I have no idea what my work landline number is.
The only calls I make from a landline tend to be international and 0845/0870 numbers, as these don’t come out of my monthly minutes.

I use gizmocall.com for international calls. Its pretty ok but lets you down occasionally. But hey, what the hell! Its free and that’s what matters. For my inland calls, I use my cell.

I use a cell phone for everything but podcasts. For those, I use Skype because it’s easy to record calls and the call quality is a bit higher assuming I have a decent Internet connection to work with.
