‘The Human Camera’ Stephen Wiltshire Draws Tokyo From Memory

Stephen Wiltshire

For those of you who don’t know who Steven Wiltshire is, he is a legendary autistic savant in the UK who despite having severe communication problems (he spoke his first words when he was 5 -- ‘pencil’ and ‘paper’), is an amazing artist who is able to accurately draw city landscapes from memory after just one viewing. His drawings are so accurate that he even gets the number of windows right.

This video shows just how talented and gifted Steven is. In the video Steven is taken to the city of Tokyo which he has never visited before, and then taken on a 30 minute helicopter ride around the city. Over the next 7 days and nights, Steven produces the most amazing panoramic view of the city you could ever imagine, just from memory.

Absolutely amazing.
