The Departed First HD Title To Sell Over 100k Units
Fosfor Gadgets are reporting that the Oscar winning movie The Departed, was the first High Definition title to sell over 100,000 units.
I watched my first HD title last night, The Guardian, as my friend had a few titles. I was stunned by how amazing the picture was. I really think that HD is going to re-vitalise the movie sales market, just like DVDs did when they were first released.
I’m glad now that I decided to keep my PS3 as I think I’m now going to get quite a lot of use out of it. After the Montreal Grand Prix (come on Lewis!) tonight I’m even going to have another stab at ‘Resistance: Fall Of Man’ to see if I can get to the Manchester Cathedral scene that is upsetting the Church of England, who claim that Sony didn’t have permission to use the interior of the cathedral in the game.

Im just curious, is this a full-hd version and did you look it on a full-hd (1080p) television? Most HD-televisions are just hd-ready (1080i or 720p) right now.
Comment by Everton on 11 June 2007:
Is 1080p now considered the only full HD resolution? I’ve read that in reality most people won’t be able to tell the difference between 720p, 1080i and 1080p on most TVs.
In answer to your question, 720p.
