YouTube User Facing Jail After Posting Video Of Driving At 140mph

An 18 year old YouTube user is rightly facing jail after being tracked down after posting a video on YouTube of himself driving at 140mph in his Dad’s Toyota MR2.

After watching this video I really hope this guy is given a very long sentence. Driving at 140mph is crazy (and filming with your mobile at the same time….), particularly when you’ve only been driving for a year and are still effectively learning to drive. No matter how good a driver you are, driving at 140mph on a public road is like being in the twilight zone and it’s basically too fast to react to any problems.

But the way he is driving on a busy road is also mental. In the video he is overtaking cars in the HARD SHOULDER AT 130mph. This is lunacy, as lots of accidents happen this way. What makes it even worse is the way he swerves across three lanes afterwards - all it would have taken is for one of the other drivers on the road to get nervous and move for a very nasty accident to have happened.

Lets hope he’s banned for a long time when he’s released. If not, we’ll be reading about him in a future Darwin Awards.

No one should try what this guy did.

Now, I don’t think speeding in itself is that dangerous (if it’s the right road, you are aware of any dangers etc) but this guy is an idiot!

He couldn’t possibly have known what was going to happen whilst undertaking those cars and they probably weren’t even aware he was there.

    IDIOT!

Why why why would anyone post evidence of such a boneheaded move for all the wolrd to see? It makes me think of those guys who posted the video of them giving their toddler nephews pot. Asinine.

It isn’t even that great of a video.. If he was trying to show off, he should have had a buddy in the passenger seat filming.
    I agree, though. He’s an idiot :]
