America’s Army Coming Exclusively To Xbox 360

America’s Army

The extremely popular America’s Army game will be coming exclusively to the Xbox 360 in September, and will be built upon the GRAW2 engine. America’s Army on the PC is extremely popular, partly because it is free, but also because it is a very accurate simulation of real army operations.

According to IGN, players will be able to choose one of five roles (Rifleman, Grenadier, Automatic Rifleman and Sniper). You can then take those skills and bring the heat online in any of eight maps developed by Red Storm under the guidance of the U.S. Army. A reward system for honorable actions is also in place with the Play-Lead-Recruit feature, to encourage gamers to act like real soldiers.

I think this game is going to be awesome. Hopefully the Xbox 360 version will be free, so I won’t feel guilty about buying yet another game that only gets played for 2 hours.

I tried this out on the pc when it was still in early beta. The potential was there, but it was real buggy. I wonder how it performs currently.

That’s true. My roommate used to watch me play Age of Empires 2 as he couldn’t believe how fast the action could get sometimes
