I was just wondering, if the redirects are made to an internal page, the site would still get the alexa boost?

A better option is to make the Alexa redirecting JavaScript-powered: in this way the HTML will not be modified, and the redirects will still work. I've applied this technique to a new plugin called Better "Alexa Redirect" WordPress plugin. wow! Constantly reminding your readers to add the Alexa toolbars makes such a big difference. My rank just dropped another 500 places to 17,119 thanks to this post as more readers must have installed the widget after reading this post

Have you tried using #4 at all, Everton? I’m unconvinced that it would make a huge difference but the first 3 have definitely helped my score. I’ve knocked a couple of hundred thousand off one site and a couple of million off another!

I’ve been in a bit of quagmire recently thanks to our busy season at work so I haven’t been posting as frequently. Despite a drought in new content on my site my rank has remained relatively steady. For the most part I’ve only been using suggestions 1 and 3 and they’ve certainly resulted in improvements for my ranking.

Now I just need to get some free time to start posting again and maybe we’ll see a bigger jump.

i’ev been using the 4th method for quite some time now.. and its working.. mu rank has improved a lot since.. i also use the search status plugin.
