Gorgeous Dual Monitor Wallpapers

Wallpaper

I have a dual screen setup on my main PC at home, and I’ve always wanted to find a way to display different wallpapers on each monitor. Although I haven’t quite worked out how to do this, I have found a better solution thanks to gHacks and one of its readers.

gHacks have discovered an amazing wallpaper gallery for dual monitor setups. All of the wallpapers are available in 2560×1024 and 3200×1200 resolutions i.e. if you are running at 1280×1024 on your two monitors you should download the 2560×1024 wallpapers, and the 3200×1200 wallpapers if you are running at 1280×1024.

The final trick to get the wallpapers to span your desktop is to select ’tile’ rather than ‘centre’ when setting the wallpaper. Because the images are so wide, they will stretch to cover both monitors.

You do have to pay for it, but UltraMon is the BEST dual screen application out there. It allows you to display a taskbar on both screens, along with displaying a different background on both, like you want.

Displayfusion is a very good dual monitor program. It’s free and you can pick between having two different wallpapers or stretching a picture between the two monitors.

I have written a Wallpaper Downloader / Changer that works with both single and dual monitors, with a dual monitor setup you can select two different wallpapers and set them as your backgrounds, even works with different sized monitors with different ressies.
This program is still in development with more and more features are being added.

To get a copy of this (Free) goto http://www.amateurpile.com
(the site is a lads site, porn, music, movies and other great stuff for guys, it also has it’s own section for this program with updates, the wallpapers that are avalaible for downloading.)
it’s free for the normal version, and the pro version is also free for Members of the site, (Free registration)

Now for the working out of how to put two different wallpapers up on different screens, it can’t be done, the only way this works is by creating a large wallpaper thats the size of all the screens put together and placing the images you want as wallpapers in the appropreate place on the large image, then setting this as a background and setting it as “Tile”,
Every program that does dual monitor wallpapers does it this way.

Please, if you try this program out, let me know what you think, or if you would like it to do something you need it to do.
you can send me a message on the site or mail me at stonegimpmail@yahoo.com
