Create Your Online Database Applications In Minutes With Zoho Creator 2.0
A month ago, while reviewing my top 5 Web 2.0 applications, i indicated that Zoho is in my opinion the leading online Office 2.0 suite in the market. I also mentioned Zoho Creator, a nifty application that allows you to create database applications in minutes.
A week and a half ago, Zoho released the second version of their Creator tool. After giving it a thorough shot, all i can do is regret for the time i spent studying MS Access and Web programming and using them to build online applications! Zoho Creator makes the relatively complex task of creating online database application a breeze. After creating the online application, you can easily share it with your friends or colleagues, as well as easily embed it in your web site or blog.
I decided to give Creator a try, and followed their simple Getting started tutorial. After 15 minutes of work, i was able to create a nice online contact form which i embedded in my blog (see it in action here). The big bonus from using Creator when building contact forms, is that from now you’ll have all feedbacks entered through the contact form not only sent to you by email, but also stored in a database.
Zoho Creator is a relatively young tool and thus it still lacks in functionality. I pointed out some missing nice-to-have features to their product management team, and will follow-up with them and let you guys know once they add them to the package.
If you need to build a quick online form, i suggest that you give Creator a try. In case you miss some features, please let me know by commenting here, and i will cycle it with them.
Stay tuned for more Web 2.0 at Connected Internet.

Very cool. I probably wouldn’t necessarily use something like that on my site, but I definitely have other sites that might need all contacts by e-mail stored in a database.
