Google Reader Outage - Did Your Traffic Fall Yesterday?
Google Reader suffered a major outage yesterday and many feeds weren’t updated. Luckily Downloadsquad made it through otherwise I wouldn’t have realised, although I did think something strange was going on as I cleared all my feeds out in a record 15 minutes.
It’ll be interesting to hear if your traffic was down on Monday, given that Google reader is the market’s number one RSS reader. My traffic was down, and I also noticed that I didn’t receive as many comments yesterday as usual.

You know, mine was down significantly on Saturday too. I guess I’m getting a true feel for how much of my traffic comes from there.

It’s funny you mentioned that. I was complaining to my wife about it and she was just looking at me like I was crazy haha.

Come to think of it, yes. Very much so. It always feels good to see a possible reason behind traffic lows.

Even mine was significantly down. I knew it would the problem with Google Fetcher.

Oddly enough, Monday (6/25) has been - at least according to Google Analytics - my peak day over the past 5 days. Monday’s traffic was a fair bit better than average. Strange, eh?
