Out of the blue, I just received 2 ReviewMe sponsored review requests that I accepted. The first one is from cableorganizer.com who sell a wide range of label printers and automatic labelers which can help prevent wires from becoming entangled and generally mixed up.
I must confess I’d never considered buying a label printer before, but I’m seriously considering getting one as they are a lot cheaper than I thought they would be. I’ve got to dismantle my home AV setup soon as I need to buy a new storage unit as my current one isn’t big enough and I’ve just worked out that the reason my equipment is getting so hot is because my unit doesn’t have enough ventilation. I’ve also got to dismantle my main PC as I need to move things around in the spare bedroom that doubles up as my office.
Disconnecting and reconnecting my wires is going to be a major pain in the ass as they all look the same. It’d be great if I had a device like the Brother P-Touch PT-1650 which can add labels automatically to cables, which would allow me to figure out which cable was which, no matter how tangled they get.
A cheaper model is the Brother P-Touch PT-80, which only costs $49.95 which is a very good price I think. The advantage of the PT-80 is that it can create labels for just about anything. The Dymo RhinoPRO is a similar device that also costs $49.95, which has a handy keyboard that includes hotkeys to allow duplicate labels to be printed. The labels that it prints are very heavy duty and utilise technology that is durable, smearproof and designed to survive the elements.
If you’re looking for an even cheaper option then check out the Dymo Label Buddy which costs only $7.99 and is pictured above. Despite it’s price the Dymo Label Buddy still packs a big punch and can create attractive embossed adhesive labels for just about anything.
